Fighted until the end: grief for Mino Raiola

"In endless grief, we say goodbye to the most amazing football agent that ever existed," says a statement that his family spread over his official Twitter account on Saturday afternoon. "Mino fought until the end - with the same strength with which he defended our players at the negotiating table."

Raiola was recently seriously ill and had had to undergo emergency operation in Milan in January. Consistent media reports on his death had proven to be a false report on Thursday.

Raiola has been the most famous player advisor in the football industry for years. Most recently, he represented Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba, Gianluigi Donnarumma or BVB Torjäger Erling Haaland, who faces a million transfer in summer.

In 1993 Raiola had made a name for herself when he threaded Dennis Bergkamp's change from Ajax Amsterdam to Inter Milan. In 2020, "Forbes" quantified his assets at around 80 million euros.

Raiola wrote "a new chapter in modern football" and always wanted to make football "a better place", writes his family in the message.
