Werder Bremen Holt Ole Werner as a new coach
Already in summer Ole Werner at Welder Bremen was a candidate for the succession of Florian Krefeld. The long-standing coach of Holstein Kiel had been contacted even before Markus at the beginning after the past season, but from connectedness to his ex-club said. Since then, several months have passed, starting at the Weber is already history and Werner himself again felt great desire to work. And in the second attempt it worked: Ole Werner becomes new chef coach of Welder Bremen.
As the relegated on Sunday afternoon announced, Werner will now be new Welder coach and is already heading the first training of the green-white on Monday. Afterwards, it will be officially presented at 4.30 pm. The club did not communicate a contract period.
Werner is supported by co-trainer Patrick Kuhlmann, with which he already worked in Kiel. Otherwise, there will be no changes in the Bremen trainer team.
Same view on game and working style
Ole is a young, exciting and very good coach that fits very well with his idea soccer to play very well, Managing Director Frank Baumann is quoted in the club message. He wants to absolutely go out our way to build a young, development-capable team. He has worked successfully in Kiel as a head coach, knows the 2nd league and will quickly find himself as a North Germans in Bremen.
According to Werner, in the talks with those responsible, immediately noticeable that there is the same view on game and working on both sides. That convinced me that Welder is the right task for me.
Treaty until the end of the season in Kiel: Negotiations moved
Werner has been working in the professional area only for his home club Holstein Kiel. First as a coach in the junior area, then as the responsible person of the second team and since September 2019 as a chief coach with the professionals. In the past season he failed with the PSV Holstein only in the relegation against the 1st FC Cologne (1: 0, 1: 5) at the rise in the Bundesliga. After a false start in this season, he returned to his office in Kiel after the 7th match day.
However, despite his resignation, Werner had a contracted contract at Holstein Kiel. Therefore, the negotiations between Welder and the trouble moved towards. But now an agreement was achieved.
