Ristic: Offenbach for Regionalliga Exceptional

At the turn of the year, Sreto Ristic took over the Offenbacher Ristics and led the team in the regional league southwest in third place. On Saturday he started as a head coach in the new season and could bring directly a victory: 1: 0 against Homburg. For the season 2021/22, many hope to rise to the 3rd league.

In the Ristic interview Ristic said he expects Elversberg, Ulm and Homburg up, possibly the second teams of Stuttgart, Mainz and Hoffenheim. However, his team must not hide, it could be even better at home than in 2019/20 and playing top. Past season he was the coach with the best point cut in the league (2.26 per game). Only two defeats conceded the OFC under the 45-year-old: against Steinbach (0: 4) and Elversberg (0: 3). However, the club win only against one of the top 6 teams. It's the most difficult in this league to keep the focus on the week after week so that the quality is retrieved, Ristic clearly said.

Unlike many league competitors, the Ristics undertake new players again and again: Since 2016 it is 77. That means variety, but also pressure for the new additions that must work immediately. The coach explained, Offenbach is exceptional for regional leagues in all areas, which could be imposing for players.
